If you are from outside of Newfoundland and wish to book a spot, you will be fully reimbursed if the province of Newfoundland does not open up before your scheduled workshop date. If Newfoundland does not open up we will still offer the workshops to Newfoundlanders but out of province instructors may not be able to come. If that is the case, Sarah Fulford will host the workshop in their place.
Cancellation Policy for our 1-Week Pottery Retreats
We are honoured when you consider taking a retreat with us. We know that there is a lot of advance planning involved in the decision to visit us. We are a small property in a remote location and it’s often a journey in itself just to get here. Our cancellation policy reflects the long lead time needed for people to book with us, and the impact on our business if our workshops were not occupied. We never waiver on our cancellation policy, no matter how tragic or unfortunate circumstances may be. This includes Guests missing the ferry or plane to the Island on the planned day of arrival. Please ensure that you leave sufficient time for your journey.
Cancellations made more than 60 days before the planned arrival date will be subject to 15% of the cost of the booking. Cancellations between 60 and 30 days of the planned arrival date are subject to a charge of 50% of the cost of the booking. Cancellations made within 30 days of the planned arrival date are subject to a charge of 100% of all deposits made.
Cancellations must be made in writing by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, and are not valid until a participant has received a Cancellation Confirmation Email from Fogo Clay Studio, written from email@example.com.
As credit card details are not stored by Fogo Clay Studio, guests will need to give their card details again to receive any refund due under the cancellation policy.
Participants are strongly advised to obtain Travel Insurance to cover the cost of any cancellation fees that will be applied in case of cancellation by a guest.
Cancellation Policy for Our Other Programs
Weekly Courses, and Shed Nights on the Wheel are eligible for a refund if cancelled 2 weeks prior to the start date after which, they are non-refundable and non-transferable to another date, however you may send a Guest in your place. A 10% administration fee will be charged for any refund.
Private Classes are eligible for a refund if cancelled one week prior to the start date after which they are non-refundable but can be postponed to a future date and time. A 10% administration fee will be charged for any refund.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable).
