Workshop Description This hands-on retreat will focus primarily on wheel throwing, with time also devoted to surface decoration and glazing. Open to all levels—from complete beginners to advanced potters—the week begins with throwing cylinders to assess each student’s experience. Beginners will progress through making mugs, bowls, plates, and lidded jars, while more experienced potters may take on complex forms such as teapots or casseroles. Students are encouraged to practice as much as possible, and the studio will remain open for use outside of teaching hours. At the end of the week, most work will be recycled, but you’ll be able to select a few favourite pieces for Sarah to glaze and fire in the studio. These will be shipped to you after the retreat (shipping costs not included).
